Nacua has won the support of the crowd in the first two 2023 games.
In just his first two NFL games, Los Angeles Rams rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua has already become a household name. Before his game against the Cincinnati Bengals, he became a little emotional as the national anthem was playing.
The “Monday Night Football” camera panned over Nacua, who was on the sidelines listening to “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and it seemed he was emotional.
Making the most of his debut season is his fifth-round selection. With 25 catches for 266 yards coming into the game against the Bengals, he made a lasting impression on the NFL record book.
Against the San Francisco 49ers last week, he recorded the most receptions (15) of any rookie in a single game. Late in the fourth quarter, Nacua made a 17-yard reception to break the mark that had been shared by Pittsburgh’s Najee Harris, the New York Giants’ Saquon Barkley, and Washington’s Roy Helu.
